He’s been a candidate, a recruiter, a hiring manager, decision maker and even implemented the very systems that screen candidate applications. He has seen firsthand how the hiring system fails candidates.
In 2025, the process is disconnected, and more discouraging than ever. Frustrated candidates are met with unrealistic expectations throughout the recruitment process. In return they are ghosted, filtered out by AI powered ATS platforms, or left chasing vague feedback. The system is broken, and candidates are bearing the cost.
Brendan co-founded Dear Hiring Manager to support candidates in navigating these challengers, while also advocating for change and accountability from the recruitment industry. His approach is clear, human, and grounded in deep experience. He understands the emotional toll of the job search, the self-doubt, the financial pressure, the hit to your confidence, and his work is about steadying the process, refocusing your energy, and helping you move forward with clarity.
