We are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us. We are committed to protecting your information and handling it in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
We do not ask for special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religion). Please do not include such information in your submissions unless it is genuinely necessary for your CV; if you do, you consent to us processing it for the purpose of preparing your documents.

To deliver our services your data passes through the following systems and providers. Each acts as a processor or independent controller and operates under its own privacy policy and appropriate data protection safeguards:

We keep this list current. If we add or change a key provider, we will update this policy.
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, and may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings. Where any non-essential analytics or tracking is used, we will ask for your consent first.

We retain your personal data — including your CV, form responses and completed documents — for 12 months following delivery of your completed work, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems. We may keep limited records for longer where the law requires it (for example, financial and VAT records, which we are required to keep for six years).
You may request permanent deletion of your data at any time by emailing help@dearhiringmanager.careers with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and your full name and the email address you used. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.
We share data only with the trusted providers listed in section 4, and only where necessary to deliver our services. These providers are required to comply with data protection law. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We never sell your data.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and reputable, secure providers. However, no method of online transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some of the providers we use are based, or store data, outside the UK and EEA (for example in the United States). Where your data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision — so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
